Problem Statement
The birth of modern adult content begins with Playboy in the 1950s. The industry was small, exclusive, and highly stylized. It wasn’t until the rise of the internet in the 90s where websites like PornHub and xHamster made adult content accessible to the masses. The porn industry has now grown to estimate $280 billion with the online sector growing at a compound annual growth rate of 7.5%. Furthermore, user generated porn is earning $6.6 billion annual revenue.
While the industry is generating high sums of money the content creators are not the one’s receiving it. Foremost, the adult content sites are taking up to 50% of the revenue the content creators are making. Furthermore, banks like Chase are closing content creator’s bank accounts down because the banks are worried about reputational risk. Finally, since these adult content sites utilize Visa, Mastercard, and Stripe for payment they get to place restrictions on the content posted on these sites. These issues with the industry demonstrate that the banks and these websites do not care nor have any desire to place protections for the content creators or their hard work.
Purpose
NUTT was created to fix these issues in the adult content industry and help place more protections for the content creators and their content. The long-term goal for NUTT is to utilize the revenue generated from the coin to develop our own adult content website. Then instead of utilizing traditional banking systems like Visa, Mastercard, and Stripe we will use NUTT as the currency for the content. This gives us control on censorship, fees, and other policies and restrictions. By eliminating the banks, we can create an online sex community that actually protects both the buyer and the creator.
